The Hitters
This elimination season is made up of mostly modern players. Other than Hal Chase and Jimmy Ryan, and Jose Reyes, we could almost call it an 80s reunion. Cue the Back to the Future music! Amos Otis has the number one seed and will also have to contend with Otis Nixon, Rafael Palmeiro, Mookie Wilson, and Mark Grace. All will be vying for a .500 record and trip to Round 7.

The Results

Jose Reyes played consistently good ball from April to September, and since it looks as if nobody really wanted it in this low-offense season, he took the pennant by a comfortable six games. Amos Otis, Otis Nixon, and Jimmy Ryan also qualify to move on to Round 7. The others… not so much. Mark Grace was actually ten games over .500 in July, but just collapsed after the All-Star break. He and Hal Chase, Mookie Wilson, and Rafael Palmeiro have been eliminated.

Season Highlights
- Hal Chase topped the teams in batting average and Chase99 won the individual title with an anemic .299.
- Palmeiro topped in HRs with 31.
- Reyes8 slashed a league-leading 25 triples. Reyes had 22, and Reyes6 tallied 18.
- Stolen bases were a huge part of Otis Nixon’s game, as witnessed by the team’s 1067 steals. Nixon8 stole an astounding 148, overshadowing the two other Nixons that topped 120.
