The Results

Teddy Ballgame came to play! His terrific record was helped in no small part by his 21-1 record against Ted Kluszewski – ouch! Chuck Klein also acquitted himself well, nearly making it to the century mark while finishing in second place. Bill Joyce and Pepper Martin also qualify for Round 7. The rest head to Round 6.

Season Highlights

  • The Ted Williams team did it all: Led in Batting Average, drew a lot of walks, and hit a bunch of homers. That’s a recipe for winning games. As a team, they hit .329, with Williams8 pacing the league at .356

  • Jake Beckley had 18 triples on the season.
  • Herman Long got slapped around pretty good in a 23-4 drubbing at the hands of Ted Williams. Pepper Martin had a 26-hit game in which Martin6 went 6 for 7 with 3 doubles and a home run with 7 RBIs in a 20-5 massacre of Beckley.
  • Williams6 also had a 7-RBI game.
