The Hitters
We should see some moderate power this season as top seed Mike Piazza leads the field. He’ll see significant challenges from Hall-of-Famers Dan Brouthers, Heinie Manush, and Eddie Murray. Additionally, Prince Fielder, Oscar Gamble, Darryl Strawberry, and Fielder Jones have proven to be no slouches in the tournament. There’s only a guarantee of moving forward to Round 7 with a top 4 finish or .500 record. 154 games will tell the tale.

The Results

In a surprise performance, Dan Brouthers showed that those “pioneer” stars had game, running away with the flag and finishing 22 games ahead of second place Darryl Strawberry – another surprising finish, coming up from the number seven seed. Equally surprising, we had six qualifiers for Round 7 with Manush and Piazza taking third and fourth, and Gamble and Fielder finishing above .500. Murray and Jones head to Round 6 for a last chance to move on.
