The Hitters
I don’t expect a great deal of offense in this penultimate season of the elimination round. Cupid Childs is the number one seed facing Earl Torgeson and Fielder Jones from days gone by and stars of the 1970’s, Lou Whitaker, Ralph Garr, Willie Wilson, Bobby Grich, and Omar Moreno. Given the speed of these guys, we might see many stolen bases!

The Results

Earl Torgeson went 47-21 after the All-Star break to run away with the pennant as Fielder Jones held off a surging Willie Wilson for fourth place. Cupid Childs and Lou Whitaker make up the rest of the top 4 to move on to Round 5.
